- 20 g celery stalk
- 60 g carrot
- 1 cloves garlic
- 25 g vegetable oil
- 400 g black bean, canned, drained and rinsed
- 55 g panko breadcrumbs, any type of crumb is fine

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

Recipe's preparation
- Place garlic, leek, celery and carrot in bowl.
5 sec, speed 5, MC on
Scrape down, repeat 5 sec, speed 5, add oil
Cook 3min 30sec, 120°, "Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1, MC off
Scrape down, add black beans
Blend 3 sec, speed 5
Add egg and breadcrumbs
15 secs, "Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1, mix in with spatula
Transfer to clean bowl, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Can be made a day ahead.
Form into four patties and cook in frypan.
