      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

    Cob Loaf
  1. Place Cob Loaf on baking tray and cut across the top to reveal inside, scoop out the bread and put aside for later (being careful not to tear the outside/base of the loaf)

Check to see if the cheddar is melted if not continue for 2 more minutes.

Pour mixture into hollowed cob loaf and gently stir through spring onion (feel free to sprinkle more cheese on top). Place the 'lid' of the cob loaf on top of the cob and place in the oven for 10 -15 minutes.

Tear bread pieces scooped out of the cob loaf into dipping sized chunks and place in the oven to cook for a further 5 minutes until crispy.

    Serve hot.

Use torn bread pieces to scoop up the dip and when the chunks of bread are gone use the outside of the cob loaf to scoop up dip until all gone.

This recipe turned turned out great. Doing some of the cooking in the thermi saves a lot of baking time - compared to another recipe I tried. I didn't have cream so used cooking cream for both the sour cream and the cream and I used Mersey Valley brand cheese which gives it a bit of a kick and it worked out fabulous. Thanks.

  • An easy and yummy recipe

An easy and yummy recipe which both hubby and kids loved. I didn't have any spring onion so substituted with half a brown onion and added it in at the same time as the bacon. We used a cob loaf from Woolworths and it filled it just perfectly.
