  • 45 grams basil,fresh, 1 bunch 40-50 g
  • 160 grams pumpkin seeds, or macadamia nuts

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place all ingredients into the bowl.



    Place lid in position and pulse on turbo button for 4 pulses/1 sec. Scrape down sides the pulse on turbo again for 4 pluses 1 sec or to desired consistency.

    Store in a clean glass jar. Cover with a layer of olive oil to prevent browning. Can be stored for 1 week in the fridge.

Tip

This produces a drier chunkier pesto. Add more olive oil when using it for a thinner consistency.
