- 2 cans Canned Chickpeas, Drained keeping 100g of the liquid
- 1/2 tsp cumin seed
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 75 g freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 80 g hulled tahini
- 50 g olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1000 g Boiling water

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- Place chickpeas into the bowl.
- Add boiling water
Cook 35min/98°/rev/stir spd.
Drain - Clean & dry mixing bowl.
Add cumin & garlic
Blend 3sec/spd9
Scrape down sides of bowl
blend 3sec/spd9 - Add lemon juice, tahini, salt, olive oil
Blend 10sec/spd8
Scrape down sides of bowl & lid
Repeat twice - Add chickpeas (still hot)
Add reserved chickpea liquid (100g)
Blend 1min/spd9 using Tmx spatula if required
Scrape lid and sides of bowl - drizzle with olive oil & dukka
