Mums Tomato Sauce

  • 625 g tomatoes, Ripe
  • 95 g onion
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • 1/3 --- 1/3 cup of easy sauce
  • 1/2 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place first 5 ingredients in thermo bowl - 4sec on speed 5
  2. Add rest of ingredients - 50 min - 100 deg - reverse - speed 2
  3. Place glass jars in slow oven to sterilise

    Fill and seal jars while mixture is still hot

    Will keep over 6 months in cool place or until opened.

    Once you break the seal put in fridge to keep

Put basket on top to avoid spitting of mixture
