Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip
This makes enough for approx. 8 large pizzas.
If you find the tomato sauce to be very acidic or dont like the strong tomato flavor add 2 tablespoons of sugar in at step 3.
You can use 1 can of tomato if you prefer a stronger flavor and dont need as much sauce.
Freezes well.

This was easy to make and tastes great. It has a thinner consistency than tomato sauce. I wasn't sure how much tomato to use as the ingredients list says one can but recipes says cans. I actually used 800 grams of fresh tomatoes from my garden and reduced the dried oregano to 1 tablespoon.
