If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Cut the capsicum in half and grill until blackened.  Place the blackened capsicum into a plastic bag and tie the plastic bag, leaving the capsicum to cool and sweat.  After the capsicum has cooled (approx 10 mins), peel the blackened skin and slice into small cubes.

  2. Place onion and garlic in the TM bowl and dice for 2-3 seconds/speed 4.

  3. Place the balance of ingredients into TM bowl and dice for 2-3 seconds/speed 2.

  4. Cook for 30 minutes/100°C/speed 1.

  5. Pour relish into sterilised jars and store in fridge upside down.

Tip

Adjust the chilli to suit your taste and the type of chilli you are using.

Dijon or english mustard can be used as an alternative to wholegrain mustard.
