Thermomixtress' favourite Low Carb Satay Sauce

  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander, leaves only
  • 1.5 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Natvia
  • 3 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 red chilli, small, deseeded
  • 3 tablespoons coconut, desiccated or shredded
  • 1 teaspoons tamari or soy
  • 250 gram water

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place garlic, onion, chilli and coriander into mixing bowl and chop 5 sec Speed 7
  2. Add cumin and coconut oil and saute 3 mins Varoma Speed 2
  3. Add peanut butter, lime juice, Natvia, coconut and tamari and mix 10 seconds Speed 4
  4. gradually add the water about 1/2 a cup at a time until you get the consistency you that you like
  5. cook 5 minutes Varoma REV speed soft
