Tomato Sauce
- 250 grams brown onion, cut in halves
- 250 grams green apples, cored and cut into quaters
- 500 grams tomatoes, cut in halves
- 2 teaspoons Ground Salt
- 2 teaspoons ground pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 250 grams sugar
- 150 grams malt vinegar

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- Add fresh ingredients in order into themixing bowl. Chop speed 8 for 10 seconds.
- Add remaining ingredients and combine speed 4 for 5 seconds.
- Cook 30 minutes on Varoma, speed 3, put simmering basket instead of measuring cup on lid.
- Blend 1 minute on speed 9 (gradually increasing to speed 9) or leave chunky, depending on your preference.
- Pour into sterilised jars.
