Vic’s Sweet Chilli Sauce

  • 80 grams chilli, fresh, Deseeded if you don’t like it too hot
  • 3 red capsicum
  • 80 grams garlic, Fresh
  • 80 grams ginger, Fresh
  • 500 grams sugar
  • 800 grams white vinegar
  • 2 Red Apples, Cored and quartered

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Vic’s Sweet Chilli Sauce
  1. Deseed and cut capsicum and chilli into large pieces. Core and cut apples into quarters. Peel and slice ginger and garlic. Add everything to the jug except the vinegar and sugar and blitz 20 sec/ sp 7, scrape down and repeat. Add sugar and vinegar and cook 40 mins/100/sp 1 with simmering basket on top. Cook longer if you want a thicker sauce or use the TM6 thicken function. Pour into sterilised bottles or jars.

    Hubby loves this sauce and puts it on everything (well almost). Amazing as he never used to like anything hot. Great to add to casseroles too.
