Ingredients

6 portion(s)

dressing

  • 1/2 lemon, juice only
  • 1/2 naval orange, juice only
  • 50 grams olive oil

salad

  • 40 grams parmesan cheese cubed
  • 80 grams almonds, raw
  • 4 slices short cut bacon, cooked until crisp
  • 1/4 spanish onion peeled
  • 12 brussel sprouts, cored
5

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place parmesan in bowl. 10 sec/ sp8. Set aside.

    2. Place almonds in bowl. Turbo 1sec. Check and repeat if too chunky for your preference. Set aside with paremsan. Clean and dry bowl well.

    3. Put combined juices into bowl. Insert butterfly and place lid and MC on. Turn to sp4. Pour olive oil onto the top of MC and allow to drizzle into the bowl as butterfly continues on speed 4 until all oil has gone through. Approximately 4-5 minutes. Set aside. No need to clean bowl.

    4. Put crispy bacon into bowl and turbo until desired consistency. (I like it quite coarse). Set aside with almonds and parmesan.

    5. Place onion in bowl 3 sec/ sp7.

    6. Add brussel sprouts 4 sec/sp4.

    7. Scrape down sides. 2 sec/sp4.

    8. Add all other ingredients and combine 4sec/Counter-clockwise operationsp4. Serve.

How yummy was this salad ... loved it! Added cashew because I didn't have enough almonds. Next time I wont blitz the bacon so fine. It would have been nice if it was a little chunky.

Hi, I made this recently, and added some mayo for the dressing. The family is still not keen to try anything to do with Brussels sprouts... that's ok, more for me. Yum! Thanks for a nice recipe.

This salad is delish! Very moor-ish. Lots of parmesan, but that's probably what makes it so tasty. I will be making it again soon.

  • Turned out to be a great

    Submitted by Maida on 22. November 2014 - 10:29.

Turned out to be a great soup!!  I really wanted to make this salad and the fresh Brussel sprouts did not look Love great. My girlfriend suggested frozen. I made the mistake of chopping them semi frozen. Mush! So I added stock and water and cooked the whole thing for 25 mins on Varoma temp. Whizzed and voila a delicious soup. The only extra I had added was a long red chili. The salad will have to wait.  Love

I made the salad this time with fresh brussel sprouts . To make  it easier I put the dressing in a jar and shook it vigorously. Next time I will cut the larger sprouts in half. Very nice salad.

    Submitted by MargieM on 30. May 2014 - 18:12.

Finally tried it, quite yummy !  Would make more effort next time to buy younger fresher sprouts tho. I curtailed some of the processes using other equipment.. just because I was in a hurry.  Presents well ..suitable for a new dish for family functions.. Would also be nice with poached eggs on top.
