Bacon, lentil and vegetable soup

  • 1 brown onion, Medium, peeled and quartered
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 celery stalks, Roughly chopped
  • 2 carrots, Medium, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6-8 shortcut bacon rashers, roughly diced
  • 200 g red lentils
  • 1 litre Liquid Chicken Stock, Salt reduced
  • salt, To taste

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipe's preparation

  1. Add onion, garlic, celery and carrots
  2. Chop: 5 seconds/Speed 5. Scrape down
  3. Add olive oil. Saute: Varoma/5 minutes/Speed 1
  4. Add lentils, chicken stock and roughly diced bacon.
  5. Cook: 20 minutes/100 degrees/Sp 1
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste
