- 1 onion, peeled and halved

- 2 tsp curry powder, adjusted to taste
- 1 tsp chilli powder, adjusted to taste

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Add onion and evoo to bowl, insert lid and m/c, chop 3 seconds, speed 5.
Scrape down bowl, insert lid and m/c, saute 120 degrees (or varoma for TM31) for 3 minutes speed 2.
Add pumpkin, sweet potato and carrot to the bowl. insert lid and m/c, chop speed 7 for 5 seconds.
Add water, curry and chilli powders and salt and pepper to bowl.
Insert lid and m/c. Cook 20 minutes, 100 degrees, speed 3.
Blend starting at speed 5 and gradually increasing to speed 9 over the time of 1 minute.
