    So delicious!

I made 2 batches of this today, one to eat and one to preserve. I love how simple and tasty it is!
Great with a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, and don't forget a pinch of sugar in the recipe to even out the flavours 😉

Lovely quick recipe thank you. Second time I made it I added 300gr of sweet potato at the beginning with the onion and blitzed it and only added 600gr of tomatoes (didn't have enough tomato) The result was a very creamy soup. Yum.

Such a great easy recipe - I thought the skins might be a bit tough but after blending they were not noticeable! Full of flavour and nothing bad for you in it!

This soup was easy to prepare and very flavoursome. I didn't have red onion so substituted with a brown, but still very tasty. I also dropped the speed back to 2. Thank you for sharing.

  • This is the best tomato soup

This is the best tomato soup I have found. I did add some Basil and homemade tomato paste during cooking and stirred a little cream in before serving!

I steamed some chicken in the Varoma while it was cooking (first time using it). Very pleased with the result. I also had to do the cooking on speed 2 as it shook the Varoma too much.

  • This is my favourite tomato

    Submitted by Sharon35 on 22. July 2014 - 20:48.

This is my favourite tomato soup recipe. I even managed to sneak in some red lentils and a few left over kidney beans. I also put it through a sieve to make it extra smooth.

Thanks  a_b_c  . My tomatoes were very ripe which is why I perhaps didn't have a rocking thermo. Glad it turned out well that aside.
