Recipe's preparation

  1. To your Thermomix bowl - add the roughly chopped mixed vegetables. Chop 4 seconds, speed 4.5.
  2. Add chicken thigh, brown rice, vegetable stock paste, salt, & water up to the max line. Mix on speed 3 to ensure the ingredients are evenly mixed, then cook 45 minutes, 100°, reverse, speed soft. If you'd like to shred the chicken - give it a mix on speed 3 towards the end of the cooking too.
  3. Add defrosted peas, & herbs (optional), then mix with a spatula & leave to sit for 5-10 minutes to heat through.
  4. Taste & re-season with salt & pepper if needed, then enjoy!!

Tip

Feel free to change up the vege depending on what you have...

This recipe was inspired by the amazing Cookidoo Scoth Broth! We made it (with modifications) sooooo often that I wanted to save & share my version - https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r95556

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
