Variation Broccoli & Pea Soup

  • 1/2 onion, Chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 centimetres ginger
  • 10 g Oil (olive / coconut)
  • 550 g water
  • 180 g broccoli, Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon TM concentrated stock
  • 2 Small Potatoes, Chopped
  • 1/2 bunch Fresh herbs, (Parsley, coriander, thyme)
  • 180 g frozen peas
  • 150 g Pouring Cream
  • 1 pinch Salt and pepper, To taste

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop garlic, onion and ginger for 5sec, sp5.
    Scrape sides and repeat if necessary.
    Add oil and cook 3minutes, 100C, sp1.

    Place water, stock, potatoes and broccoli into TM bowl.
    Cook 12minutes, 100C, sp1.
    Add peas and herbs and continue to cook 3mins, 100C, sp1.
    Puree for 40 secs, sp9.

    Add cream and salt and pepper to taste
    Mix 30 secs, sp 3-4
