Bean sausage roll

  • 1 onion, Peeled and halved
  • 1 can red kidney beans, Drained and rinsed
  • 95 grams rolled oats
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 grams feta
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 45 grams breadcrumbs

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pre-heat oven to 200°C

  2. Place onion into TM bowl and chop for 6 seconds on speed 6.

  3. Add kidney beans, oats and chop for 3 seconds on speed 6. Scrape down.

  4. Add eggs, cheese, soy sause, breadcrumbs and mix to combine for 20 seconds on speed 5.

  5. Cut just thawed puff pastry in half on a working bench. Place 1/6th of the mixture onto the long edge of the pastry and roll, cut into four equal portions, brush the tops with whole milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  6. Place sausage rolls on a lined baking tray, brush with beaten egg and score with knife.

    Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C until crisp and golden.
