Nushi's Carrot and Pepita Flats

  • 580 g carrots, roughly chopped, skin on
  • 160 g pepitas
  • 1/4 - 1/2 Cup water
  • 60 g flaxseed/linseed
  • 60 g Black Chia seeds
  • 1 - 2 tsp Himalayan salt

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Here's how to make the magic happen...........

    Place all ingredients in TM bowl and roughly chop for 20 sec/Sp 6.

     

    Scrape down sides and blend for 20 sec/Sp 6.

     

    Spread out and dehydrate overnight, break apart and store in an airtight container.  You will know when the flats are ready, they will ‘snap’ easily, if they still have a bit of give when you try to snap them, the moisture has not yet fully been taken out.  Dehydrate a little longer.

     

    I have not attempted any dehydrating in an oven, but if you are familiar with how to do that, you can attempt this recipe in that way also.
