- 150 grams bakers flour
- 75 grams Butter, chilled, cut into pieces
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 50 grams water, chilled
- 1 brown onion, peeled and halved
- 4 shortcut bacon rashers, roughly chopped
- 50 grams baby spinach
- 6-8 eggs

TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Place all ingredients into mixing bowl and mix 20sec/speed 4. scrape down sides of bowl and repeat if necessary.
Transfer pastry onto thermomat and work into a flattened ball. Wrap in thermomat and refrigerate until needed.
Place onion and bacon in mixing bowl. Chop 3-5secs/speed 5. Scrape down sides of bowl with spatula and repeat if necessary. Saute bacon and onion 4 mins/12o degrees/speed 2. Remove from bowl and allow to cool.
Roll out pastry to desired size (approx 1-2mm thickness) to cover bottom and sides of ceramic dish.
Line ceramic dish with pastry.
Place baby spinach leaves on top of pastry
Spread cooled bacon and onion mix on top of baby spinach leaves
Crack eggs on top of spinach, bacon and onion
Fold edges of pastry over the top of filling
Place in oven for 30 mins
Once cooked remove from oven and serve hot or allow to cool and serve warm/cold
Accessories you need
You can make another batch of pastry to form a lid for the pie (I would recomend puff pastry for the lid)
