For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees celsius. Place the almonds, coconut flakes and ginger into the bowl "Closed lid" and blend "Blend" for 10 sec/ speed 10. Place mixture into a bowl and set aside.
- Insert Butterfly Whisk and place egg whites, sugar and vanilla essence into bowl. Place measuring cup into the lid and whip 3 min/speed 3. Remove butterfly whisk
- Add reserved almond, coconut and water and mix 20 sec/speed4. Spoon dough onto a lined baking tray into small circles with a couple of cm gaps between them.
- Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Place onto a wire rack to cool. Can keep upto 1 week in a air tight container.
