Ingredients

Flaxseed (Linseed)

  • 50 grams flaxseeds, milled
  • 90 gram raw almonds, milled
  • 50 g cacao powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 90 g dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1-2 Avocados
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Paste
  • 120 grams maple syrup or honey
  • 120 grams Plant based milk
  • 2 eggs

Recipe's preparation

    Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. Line a 20 cm round tin with paper
  2. Mill flaxseed 9 secs, speed 8. Add whole almonds mill 10 secs, speed 8 add cacao powder, baking soda, spices and salt. Blend 5 secs, speed 5. Set aside
  3. Add milk, eggs, vanilla, maple syrup and avocados. Blend 7 secs, speed 5 until smooth. Scrape down the sides. Repeat if needed.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the wet mix. Blend 4 secs, speed 4 till combined. Pour batter into the prepared baking tin. Spread to even as its a thick batter.
  5. Bake 25-30 mins. Test with a skewer. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in tin for 10 mins. Remove cake from tin.
  6. Make Glaze

    add chocolate pieces to the tm bowl. Chop 6 secs, speed 8. Add coconut oil. Heat 2 mins, 90 degrees, speed 1. Spread over cake. This cake stays moist and improves over 3 days

Tip

The avocados need to be soft not too hard.

Use raw almonds.
