  • Delicious Cake.  I made it

    Submitted by saj255 on 13. December 2015 - 11:06.

Delicious Cake.  I made it for a decorated farewell cake and layered it with a white chocolate mud cake.  It was very dense and chocolatey but stayed firm and was great for decorating.  Everyone said how delicious it was.  Thanks!

  • I have just baked 4 of these

    Submitted by mummaduck on 21. August 2013 - 23:41.

I have just baked 4 of these to layer up for decorating with fondant icing.  So easy and they rise at first, but sink back down a bit upon cooling (plus I inverted mine when I took it out of the cake tin for a smoother top) so it is perfect for decorating.  No trimming required!  I also replaced the coffee with a TB of squeezed orange juice as I was making it for kiddies.  I should also note that I baked them in silicone round "tins" on approx. 170 degrees for 1 hour 10 mins.
