- 50 g fresh orange juice

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Preheat oven to 190C.
Grease friand tins well.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat until it is a light golden colour. Set aside to cool slightly.
Place almonds and sugar into mixing bowl. Mill for 10 seconds, speed 10.
Add flour. Mix 15 seconds, speed 5. This equivalent to sifting ingredients 5 times.
Add unbeaten eggwhites, zest and orange juice. Mix for 10 seconds, speed 5. Scrape down and mix again for 5 seconds, speed 5.
Pour in melted butter, Mix for 5 seconds, speed 5.
Spoon the mixture into the friand tines, three quarters full and bake in a pre heated oven for 20 minutes for the mini friands and 30 minutes for the large, or until lightly golden.
