      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Biscuits
  1. Heat oven to 180C







    Melt butter, sugar, syrup and milk together in TM bowl for 2min @ 100, speed 2.







    Cool mixture to luke warm 40C, then add in soda, mix 3 secs so 4. Add flour and mix 10 secs sp4 , scrape down sides, mix 10 secs sp4 till incorporated.







    Roll into balls (about 12) and put onto an ungreased tray. Flatten with fork.







    Bake 15-20 mins at 180C.

    Easy recipe to follow. It’s a bit tedious waiting for the temperature to drop down to 40 degrees. Takes a few minutes. How good is the Thermomix for temperature control though? The biscuit dough smells gorgeous. Using heaped teaspoons full I made 14 bikkies and baked them for 15 mins.
