Mississippi mudcake

  • 250 g Butter

  • 35 g self-raising flour

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Cut butter into cubes.
  2. Add butter, chocolate, milk and sugar to thermomix bowl. Break chocolate into pieces of using a block of chocolate. Add thermomix lid and MC. Melt at 3 min, 50deg and 2.5 spd. If chocolate hasn't melted completely, then melt until completed.
  3. Add remaining ingredients. Combine 40 sec, spd 4
  4. Pour into a greased and lined baking tin. Bake for 90 min at 170c.

Tip

Please watch your thermomix when it is in the melting phase, just incase it moves from the bench.

I use Nestle dark chocolate melts and Cadbury cocoa.
