No Bake Easter Egg Caramel Slice

  • 200 g CUPS, Plain Chocolate Biscuits
  • 80 g Butter
  • 400 g dark chocolate
  • 300 g thickened cream
  • 2 packages Cadbury Caramello Easter Eggs

Recipe's preparation

  1. Brush a 26 X 16cm (base measurement) slice pan with melted butter. Line the base & 2 long sides with non-stick baking paper, allowing for the sides to overhang.
  2. Process biscuits in TM for 10 sec sp 7 or until finely crushed. Set aside.
  3. Melt butter 2 min 80 deg sp 1.
  4. Add biscuits & combine 5 sec sp 6. Press firmly over the base of prepared pan. Cover with plastic wrap & place in fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Break chocolate into small pieces. Add chocolate & cream to TM for 5 minutes 60 deg sp 1-2. Pour out of TM to let cool for 10 minutes.
  6. Spread 125g or 1/2 cup of the mixture over the biscuit base. Arrange the eggs over the chocolate.
  7. Drizzle the remaining mixture over the eggs. Gently shake pan to coat. Cover with plastic wrap & place in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Cut into squares.

    There is no mention of the cream in the recipe? Is it added in with the chocolate? And when it sets is it firm or more like ganache?
