For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160C (140C fan forced) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. Put the butter and golden syrup into the bowl and melt 2 mins/60 degrees/speed 2.
3. Once melted, add the bicarbonate of soda and mix 5 sec/speed3.
4. Add all the other ingredients and mix 8 sec/speed 4 to combine.
5. Roll the mixture into walnut shaped balls and place onto the baking tray, roughly 5cm apart.
6. Flatten each one slightly and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
7. Set aside for 5 minutes and then place them onto a rack to cool.
