Caramel / Russian Toffee

Ingredients

40 portion(s)

Toffee:

  • 125 grams Butter, Chopped into 1/4
  • 1 can Condensed milk 400g
  • 250 grams brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence/Extract

Equipment:

  • 36 patty pans, Small
  • 3 patty pan trays, Small

Recipe's preparation

    Step 1:
  1. Put all ingrediants in to the TM bowl 100 degrees / speed 2 / 1 hour

  2. Step 2:
  3. Scrape down the side of the TM bowl and then spoon the mixture out into the patty pans with a tablespoon,

Tip

Store in the fridge  (if it doesn't work and it should dont blame me i'm only twelve, but don't worry it should work it has been tried and tested by me, if i can do it so can you)

    Yum - after setting in the fridge came up creamy, incredibly rich as you would imagine. Would definitely make it again for a special occasion - like Mother's Day!

    Made a few alterations to the recipe as I seemed to be running out of a lot of ingredients. Upped sugar as I was 70ml short of condensed milk. Had no golden syrup - so subbed 1T glucose syrup and 1T Manuka honey - pretended it was a healthy sweet!

    Yes, that's the reason I cooked it for longer and on veroma.  I wanted it to thicken up. I have a TM31, not that it should make a difference.

    Just in the middle of making this caramel toffee, has the same ingredients as my nan's that takes 18 mins on the stove stirring the whole time.  So I thought I'd try the TM5 and see how it turns out.  Just wondering with Yveie why you made the decision to cook the last 20 mins on veroma, was it not thickening up enough??  Thanks in advance tmrc_emoticons.)

    Yummy, I made this recipe today and the result was excellent  tmrc_emoticons.)  I did cook it on Veroma for the last 20 minutes.
