      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place sugar into mixing bowl and mill 20 sec/speed 9. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.
    2. Add cornflour, eggs and oat milk, then start "thicken" mode/80 degrees celsius for approximately 12 mins. Serve with Mulberry Crumble.

Tip

If preferred, use almond or soy milk. For a runnier custard, use 30g flour instead.

    I made this today but I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and cooked for 15 minutes and a higher temp.

    I did it in the TM5, because the TM6 was in the dishwasher.

    Turned out fine and tasted good too.

    It sets well too, so could be used on a trifle, etc.
