Healthy Rum Balls

  • 30 g cacao powder, raw
  • 100 g pitted dates
  • 100 g sultanas
  • 1/4 litre liquid, Add rum, juice or combination to taste.

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Add all dry ingredients except sultanas to Thermomix and mill 10 seconds, speed 8.
    2. Use spatula to scrape sides. Mill 10 seconds, speed 8.
    3. Place contents into another container.
    4. Return bowl to Thermomix and add liquid and sultanas.
    5. Soften and hydrate sultanas - 8 min, 90 degrees, REVERSE speed 1.
    6. Add reserved dry ingredients back into the Thermomix bowl and mix 15 seconds, REVERSE speed 1.
    7. Scrape down sides and repeat if more mixing is needed. 15 seconds, REVERSE speed 1.
    8. Use a tbsp to scoop out and roll into balls. Coat balls in coconut or preferred coating.
    9. Refrigerate.
