Made this tonight, fantastic. I occasionally make this the stove top way and it is a fave in our house but im so glad I found this method, it is so simple and takes less time. I also did what other users did with the leftover chocolate, I added milk, 6 minutes, 80° speed 1, and enjoyed a nice hot chocolate afterwards. I had no issues with the chocolate melting, I used 180g cadbury baking choc (that's all I had) and then added 20g of dark choc baking chips to make it 200g in total and used 20g of coconut oil like others suggested and it was perfectly melted. Thanks all and love that so many commented 😊

I used cadbury baking dark chocolate and coconut oil (20grams) for the topping and it melted fine. Probably couldve doubled the topping recipe though as it was quite thin - standard size slice tray used. Didn't get much of a mars bar flavour but still a nice sweet treat & kids enjoyed it

I had the same issue with the chocolate not melting. Ended up more like thick frosting, but still tasted great! I used a small square tin as I found it was very thin using my normal slice tin.

I have had trouble in the past with melting butter and chocolate together with another recipe and after reading previous comments it was said that coconut oil worked. I tried it and it did. Hope it works for you.

I too had trouble with the chocolate and butter not melting. Not sure how to rectify this apart from longer time at the end, which really didn't make that much difference.

Beautiful. Easy. No problem melting the chocolate and butter at the end. Wasn't pouring consistency but just scraped out with spatula. Used Coles Cocoa Puffs instead of rice bubbles. Just more chocolatey! Yum! Yum!

Hi, if anyone can find a chocolate that melts...
Hi, if anyone can find a chocolate that melts properly for this, could you please share? I've made this twice now with 2 different types of chocolate (melts and a baking block) and both have just not worked. I've done my best to make do and it's still delicious but it's a nightmare to try and use. Thank you!

Disappointed in this one-I had choc melts which refused to melt-have ended up with an icing type texture which I have put on half the slice-hopefully will still taste nice.

You're supposed to melt the
You're supposed to melt the chocolate and butter together so maybe that was the problem if you ended up leaving the butter out?
I'm not sure if it was the
I'm not sure if it was the fact that I used nestle chocolate rather than Cadbury but this recipe was a bit of a let down. My chocolate wouldn't melt properly and I ended up using and binning about 700g chocolate trying to get it to melt. In the end I didn't ad the butter and just melted the chocolate pouring it on top. Sure it will still taste amazing though!!

Yum Yum! Being a begginner
Yum Yum! Being a begginner with my thermie it can be a little daunting to try new things, but this recipe was a piece of cake literally. Was nice and simple to follow and loved the time it saved me with not having to do the old style double boiler to melt chocolate and no hard work mixing into the rice bubbles.
