Beef in Beer

  • 500 grams Chuck Steak, Cut into 2cm cubes
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 250 grams bacon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 bottles beer, pale ale or similar
  • 1 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoons parsley, chopped

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place 1 tablespoon of oil into the bowl with 250g of the beef. Use high heat to brown the beef for 10 minutes. Repeat the process with the next lot of beef. Remove beef each time and keep aside
  2. Add another splash of oil and add onions and bacon. Again use high heat mode for 10 minutes to cook bacon and onion. remove and set aside in the same bowl as the beef.
  3. Add tomato paste, beer, stock, sugar and then cook 2 mins/Varoma/Speed 1. Remove into the same bowl and add the blade cover. Add the liquid, onions, bacon and beef back into the TM bowl.
  4. Use Slow Cooking mode for 5-8 hours or until meat is tender. Watch the liquid if you can in case it needs a little more. Once done stir through parsley and serve
