Bolognaise sauce
- 1 brown onion, Peeled and Halved
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 carrot, roughly chopped
- 1 small zuchinni, roughly chopped
- 1/2 small red capsicum, roughly chopped
- 5 button mushrooms, halved
- 20 g olive oil
- 20 g Worcestershire sauce
- 500 g Beef mince, I use lean
- 50 g red wine
- 1 heaped tablespoons stock paste, I use beef but any will work
- 700 g tomato passata
- 60 g tomato paste
- 2 heaped teaspoons Italian spice mix

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- 1. place onion, garlic and vegetables into the mixing bowl and chop 5 sec/speed 5. scrape down sides of the bowl
- 2. add 20g olove oil and sautee 5 mins/ 120/ speed 1 (MC off)
- 3. add 500g beef mince and 50g red wine and sautee 10 mins/ Varoma/ "Counter-clockwise operation" / speed "Gentle stir setting"
- 4. add 1 tablespoon of stock paste, 20g worcestershire sauce, 700g passata, 60g tomato paste, 2 teaspoons italian herbs and cook 15 mins/ Varoma/"Counter-clockwise operation" / speed "Gentle stir setting" MC off and simmering basket on top.

Tip
The mince cooks on top of the veggies and doesnt get heaps mushy. it is great cooking all in the thermomix! if you are hesitant about mince in the thermomix dont be! It's actually really tasty!
