If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Made this last night but I wasn't a huge fan. It was lacking flavour. Don't think I'll make it again.

@FarmerTess I'm a newbie with the thermie. When you do it 50 mins in the thermie - can you please tell me what settings and did you throw meat and veg in together at the same time. I'd much rather do the thermie over the oven.

This was delicious. I used chuck steak and also added some meaty bacon pieces from the butcher. The bacon diluted the coconut flavor, so wouldn't add it next time but still was super yummy and the meat just melted.

I put my oven on 170c When I place back in oven with veg I usually place the lid back on only because the time I have left the lid off it evaporates the sause a bit more and I like mine with lots of sauce. Either way will work though.
