Coconut cream and curried sausages

  • 6 sausages
  • 2 tablespoons Brown beef gravy powder, used as the thickening agent
  • 2 teaspoons brown suger
  • 1 brown onion
  • 2 tablespoons malt vinegar
  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper
  • slices apple, optional
  • heaped tablespoon sultanas, optional
  • 20 gram oil
  • 1 can coconut cream
  • 2 teaspoons Red or Green Curry Paste
  • 200 grams water

Recipe's preparation

    the sauce
  1. Chop onion speed 5 for 5 secs
    Add oil and cook 100 degrees speed 1 for 2 mins

    While this is happening brown your sausages in a hot pan.

    Set 2 mins varoma speedGentle stir setting  and slowly add the following
    First add curry paste.
    Add water
    Add Gravy powder, suger, vinegar

    At the completion add the salt, pepper, coconut cream, sultanas and the browned sausages and cook for 15 mins, Counter-clockwise operation speedGentle stir setting varoma.  Apple sliced apple 2 minutes before it finishes.

    Serve with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.  Or rice!

    This is my first recipe I have added I do hope someone else enjoys it.  Has a slight kick to it, reduce the curry paste if you dont like things with too much kick!

    Great, I was nervous about putting it on there as it was my first recipe.  I have used green curry paste before too, works well with either....  So pleased to hear someone else likes it.  I love this recipe forum!!!

    Thanks for this recipe Delina! My partner couldn't get enough and raved about what a winner it was which is most unusual for him. I was a bit sceptical about putting the sausages in to mix when I read the recipe but it couldn't have been easier and worked so well. I used green curry paste which really complemented the coconut cream. This one is definitely in my favourites. cheers
