Recipe is created for
TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Add quartered onion garlic and herbs to mixing bowl and chop "Closed lid" /5secs/sp7.
Scrape down sides of bowl.
Add oil and sauté "Closed lid" /5mins/120°/sp2.
Add beef Mince and sauté "Closed lid" /8mins/120°/sp1"Counter-clockwise operation" .
Add to your mince salt, sugar, crushed tomatoes and mushrooms if using them cook with simmering basket on top instead of mc "Closed lid" /60mins/100°/"Gentle stir setting" "Counter-clockwise operation" .
Once cooked drain any liquid and place meat sauce in a bowl and put aside.
Wash and dry bowl.
Add butter, milk, flour, nutmeg, parmesan and processed cheese to bowl and cook "Closed lid" /12mins/100°/sp3.
Preheat your oven to 180°.
Lightly grease your casserole dish.
Place a layer of lasagne noodles on the bottom of your casserole dish then add a layer of meat sauce followed by the cheese sauce.
Repeat layering process until all ingredients are used.
Finish with a layer of cheese sauce and top with grated Parmesan.
Cook for 40 minutes.
Accessories you need
When doubling the meat sauce and you get to sautéing the beef mince, increase the sautéing time to 16 minutes to ensure all the mince has been cooked.
Only use 3 tins of crushed tomatoes as apposed to 4 tins. 4 tins will not fit in the TM5 and I don't think it needs the extra.
When adding the tomatoes, salt & sugar increase cooking time to 90 minutes.
