Great recipe! Tasy! Also, just in case someone is having a day like I did, don't mistake the step numbers for the stir setting. I pureered my beef strips because I hadn't used the gentle stir and thought the recipe was saying speed 3 or 4 - whoops!! Still going to make again properly, flavour was good!!

This was surprisingly great, it just didn't make enough. I'd add at least 1.5x the ingredients and insert some veggies. Definitely going into my favourites list.

    Delicious winter dinner meal 😋
I added 1 TBS & 1/4 of arrowroot to make sure sauce was thick & creamy.

next time I would only cook Beef for 5min's & step 3 for 2min's as our beef as followed above instructions was tough as it got overcooked.

will be making this yumi recipie again.

Was a bit sceptical about this recipe after I had made it, and ended up having to fridge it overnight for the next night.  But when we reheated and ate it the next day, I was so surprised!  It was really yummy!  Will definitely make it again.  Thank you.

    Submitted by Kimberly E on 1. September 2016 - 08:11.

Omg thank you this is amazing. I used olive oil, 10g coconut sugar and 70g salt reduced soy sauce. I also added red capsicum in the second cook to boost veggie content.  This will be on regular rotation in our house, we loved it and it's so simple, who needs takeaway when this healthy yummy dish is on the dinner table in no time at all. I served with non fried brown rice (quirky cooking recipe) and broccolini.

I was detured here after it was posted on Facebook My Paleo Way group.

Thank you for a recipe, that's quicker then order fast food.

I didn't get to sample the recipe, as I don't eat red meat, however my hubby and teen loved it

This was fantastic! Both of my toddlers really enjoyed it too. I added only 50g of the soy sauce and could reduce it even further but it was still delicious and super quick to make. I added strips of yellow capsicum toward the end of the cooking time so boost the vegetable content. Will be making this a regular meal in our house. Thank you!

  • I followed the recipe exactly

    Submitted by Mich1986 on 6. January 2016 - 21:50.

I followed the recipe exactly and it was inedible. the sauce tasted more like a syrup than a Mongolian sauce. Not sure what went wrong, but I wont waste ingredients trying it again.

if you're going to try it, I'd recommend leaving the sugar out and maybe doing half the amount of coconut aminos.

    Submitted by BigRed on 3. September 2015 - 09:05.

Thank you for this recipe!  I made it last night in my TM5.  I doubled the recipe as a whole (1kg beef etc) and just added a few extra minutes (not double!) at Step 2.  I used dark soy sauce instead of coconut aminos and left out the sugar component altogether.  I also left the MC off in Step 3 to allow it to thicken.  Served with basmati rice and steamed broccolli.  Delicious!  We even have leftovers for lunch today.  Will definitely make this again; so quick and easy. Thanks Paleomama! tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by Shedwards on 23. March 2015 - 21:41.

This recipe is delicious, love the flavour, have made a few times already. ***IMPORTANT NOTE*** be careful if using long thin strips of beef. On the Counter-clockwise operationGentle stir setting function, the meat became tangled and snapped the spindle in my blade, had to get a new blade.  I normally use woolworths macro organic beef stir fry, will cut the beef into smaller pieces before Gentle stir setting next time.  tmrc_emoticons.)

So easy and quick to make! Paired with cauli rice it was a light and healthy meal.  I found it quite rich and will probably use less apple cider vinegar next time and add veggies to the side.  Unfortunately it wasn't a hit with the kids but they may just have to eat it anyway  tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by dinochick on 14. October 2014 - 14:06.

Delicious! Found I can double the recipe easily in the bowl which then makes enough for our large family. As we aren't fussed on the paleo side of things, I substitute the arrowroot flour for plain flour. I also don't worry about the rapadura and it still tastes amazing. I serve with mashed potato or rice. One of the kids favourite meals.
