I enjoyed this dish but my kids found the sauce a bit rich so may use less of the sauces next time.

  • Five stars from all who tried

    Submitted by lotstolearn on 26. October 2015 - 21:15.

Five stars from all who tried it!! This great recipe deserves a photo... It would be a shame if people skipped over it because there wasn't a pic. The sauces cooked to the base of the bowl but it came off with relative ease. Really is only 4 serves so if you have to decide between two baking dishes, try the smaller one. I cooked the potato in the microwave to save time and just did the mash in the TM. Yummy recipe... We'll make it again. Thank you.

  • Very tasty probably the best

    Submitted by Nic31 on 11. May 2015 - 13:37.

Very tasty probably the best shepherds pie I have made! I also blitzed sweet potato and carrot with the onion for more hidden veggies and added peas and corn at step 4. I also used brown onion gravy powder. Delish!

Yum! The flavours were absolutely fantastic! I found the meat a little runny, and add a bit much milk to the potato, but I will definitely be making this again.

  • Very very yummy! The family

Very very yummy! The family loved it!

The meat mix was a bit runny after the cooking step in the TMX (maybe it was the gravy powder used?) so just added 2T cornflour and cooked for another 2 mins and then it was fine.

  • Just made this tonight -

    Submitted by kelrod13 on 31. August 2013 - 20:38.

Just made this tonight - loved it! I prefer a shepherds pie with the gravy type sauce over the real tomatoey type sauces. My two little boys loved it.

Only variation I made was I blitz carrot, sweet potato and zucchini with the onion for hidden veg and added frozen corn when adding all the sauces and gravy mix.

    Definitely a keeper!!
