Chana Masala

  • 1 heaped tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 pinches coriander seed, ground
  • 1 onion, red
  • 4 small pieces garlic clove
  • 2 cube ginger paste
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 level teaspoons Turmeric Paste
  • 1 level tsp chilli, dried
  • 1 level tbsp garam masala
  • 2 grams Black Peppercorn
  • 500 grams dried chickpeas

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Roasting spices
  1. Add the cumin and coriander seed to the bowl with little oil with reverse speed 1 toast on varoma for 3 minutes once complete set aside. Attach splash gaurd.
  2. Masala Sauce
  3. Add your onion,ginger,garlic to the bowl. Attach measuring cup on top of the lid, Chop on speed 4 for 8 seconds prolong time if needed.
  4. Next add the tomato,tumeric,chilli,garam masala and black peppercorn and cook for 13 minutes at 90C speed 2.Attaching the simmering basket to the top.
  5. Once complete add the dried and pre soaked chickpeas to the masala add the toasted cumin and coriander seeds, Use simmering basket instead of measuring cup and cook on reverse speed 1 for 25-30 minutes ensuring chickpeas are soft to the touch prolong time if required.

You dont have to use dried chickpeas you can use canned just reduce the cooking time from 25 minutes to 15
