      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    1. Place carrot, onion, celery, garlic and dry spices into mixing bowl and chop 5-10 seconds/speed 7.
    2. Add oil and sauté Varoma/5min/speed 1.
    3. Place 100g shelled Edamame Beans in the Varoma and place on to of the mixing bowl.
    4. Add all remaining ingredients 17 min/Varoma/speed 1.
    5. During this time chop & dice the garnish ingredients and place in a bowl.
    6. Allow to cool slightly, remove the varoma and then blend 20-30 seconds/speed 9, NB start at speed 5 and gradually increase to speed 9.
    7. Add the edamame beans to the bowl of garnish
    8. Place the soup in a Thermoserver until ready to serve up.
  2. Alternatives

Instead of the OTT Garnish of salad:

steam Edamame Pods in the Varoma. They need approximately 20 minutes.

    garnish with caramalised onions (preprepared)

Slices of avocado and a few chilli flakes (go lightly)

Your imagination is the limit. Think colour contrasts and have some fun with it.
