Sweet Potato & Chick Pea Burgers

Sweet Potato and Chick Pea Burgers

  • 1 sweet potato, large
  • 2 stalk Celery
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 red capsicum
  • 1 can Chick peas (drained)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons plain four
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Bran Oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. Peel and chop vegies into pieces approx. 3-4cms and place in Varoma Dish and Varoma Tray.

    Fill TM Bowl with enough water to cover the blades.

    Place Varoma onto TM Bowl and cook 20mins/Varoma/Speed 2.

  2. Drain and rinse chick peas, add to TM Bowl with garlic and blitz 3-5 secs/Speed 3-5

    Add cooked vegies in 2-3 batches, blitzing for 3-5 secs/Speed 3-5 each time. 

    Add egg and flour and use TM spatula to mix in thoroughly.

  3. Place spoonfuls of the mixture into a hot frying pan with rice bran oil and cook until golden brown on each side.

Add any herbs or spices you like when you add the flour.

Serve on their own or put patties into a bun with salads.
