If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Mill Parmesan for 10 sec/speed 9/MC on (you can mill extra and take out if you want some to top the pesto meal)
2. Add basil, avocado, garlic, pine nuts, lemon juice and salt, mix for 10 seconds, speed 5 (may need to scrape down sides half way) or until pesto is chopped.
Note: If you want a thinner consitency or to stretch the pesto more, add in a few tablespoons of water or oil and process again until completely smooth.
