Recipe's preparation

  1. Place the figs, raspberries, sugar and lemon juice in the bowl.

  2. Place simmering basket on lid to protect from spatter.

  3. Cook for 20 - 30 minutes/Varoma/speed 1. After 1 minute place one half of the juiced lemon into the mix. 30 minutes will make a very solid jelly and 20 minutes will be more malleable.

  4. Remove lemon half and pour into jars.

Couldn't taste figs at all. I cooked it for 20 minutes. If I were to attempt it again I would halve the amount of raspberries and replace with more figs. I'd also cook for 25 minutes as it was a touch runny for my liking.

  • Just adjusted the cooking

Just adjusted the cooking time as the jam has been coming out very solid. Also leaving out the lemon half and just using the juice is still effective.

  • The best jam EVER...

    Submitted by Mustangsal on 1. January 2016 - 18:19.

The best jam EVER... According to my kids. I upped the raspberries by 100g and reduced the figs by 100g. I will be making this again. Thank you so much for sharing.
