If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Add onion to bowl and chop 3 sec, sp 5 & scrape down bowlAdd spices to the mixing bowl and olive oilCook 4 mins 100c counterclock] Speed 2
Add beans and tomatos and cook a further 10min, 100c, "Counter-clockwise operation" , Sp "Gentle stir setting"
Season to taste with salt and pepper

Tastes great, I really enjoy the flavour.
I have used tinned beans and cooked my own dried beans.. I have used canellini or navy beans, navy beans take longer to cook. I often substitute the tomatoes for TM Sugar free tomato sauce
