      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add pitted/halved plums to mixing bowl.
    Place on lid with measuring cup and chop 10sec/speed 5.
    Add sugar and lemon juice.
    Place Varoma (dish only) instead of meaursing cup onto lid.
    Cook 50min/100c/speed 2.
    Test for thickness.
    If needed cook further 10min/100c/sp 2.
    Transfer to sterilised jars.
