Cream of Chicken and Vegetable Soup

Failsafe Ingredients

  • 1 leek, rouglhy chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 potato, double peeled and roughly diced
  • 1 Swede, peeled and roughly diced
  • 2 stalks Celery, roughly sliced
  • 1 brussell sprout, quartered
  • 1 fillet chiken thigh, diced
  • 1 level tablespoon Rice Bran Oil, or canola, sunflower
  • failsafe chicken or vegetable stock, (optional)

Recipe's preparation

    1. Place leek and garlic in bowl, Speed 6, 6 seconds, scrape down sides of bowl

    2. Add oil to bowl and sauté varoma, 3 minutes

    3. Add swede  speed 6, 3 seconds

    4. Add potato, chicken, brussel sprout celery, water and salt (and stock if using)

    5. Cook 20 minutes, 100, speed 1

    6. Mix speed 4, 10 seconds

Other failsafe vegetables such as choko and cabbage could be added

Stock adds to flavour but is not essential if you do not have any prepared.

Vary the time for mixing in the last step to alter the texture of the soup
