Easy chicken and sweetcorn soup

  • 1 leek, Top and tail and cut into large pieces
  • 1 carrot, Top and cut into large pieces
  • 300 gram chicken meat, Breast or thigh fillet
  • 1 can Sweetcorn kernels
  • 1 can creamed sweetcorn
  • 1 tablespoon veggie stock paste
  • 0.5 litre water
  • 1 herbs to taste, no salt required, but add pepper and others to taste

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Soup
  1. Shred carrot (5 sec/speed 4) and store in separate container. 

  2. Put in leek and chicken breast.  Shred (6 sec/speed 5).  

  3. Add olive oil and saute (3 min/Counter-clockwise operation speed 1)

  4. Add carrot, corn, creamed corn, veggie paste, any herbs to taste, and water and simmer (20 min/100 C/Counter-clockwise operation speed 1).

    Just making this now and realised there is no temp at step 3 for the sauté. I only realised this after I put in all the final ingredients and set my temp to 100 degrees!! I hope it turns out ok. At the moment the chicken & leek have just been mixed in oil & everything put in. 

    EDITED: Turned out perfectly!!! Can you just adjust the recipe to include the sauté temp please. Thanks for sharing!!
