- 1.2 litres Japanese Vege Dashi Stock, see other recipe
- 1 portion Japanese Rocket Pesto, see other recipe
- 1 onion, halved
- 40 g olive oil, or 20g butter 20g oil
- 50 g edamame peas, without pods
- 250 g fresh or frozen peas
- 3-4 sprigs mint, leaves only, 15-20 leaves
- 200 g silken tofu
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
See other recipes for Japanese Vegetable Dashi stock and Rocket Pesto which are required for this soup.
1. Chop onion and garlic in TM bowl with MC on 4secs sp 7. Scrape down bowl.
2. Add butter and oil. Saute 4mins varoma sp 1 with MC on.
3. Add Dashi, 250g peas, mint and salt. Place edamame into simmering basket. Place basket onto TM lid. Cook 95c for 20mins.
4. Remove simmering basket and edamame. Add tofu, replace basket and edamame. Blend 45secs slowly increasing to speed 8.
Serve immediately or chilled.
Pour into bowls. Add 1-2 teaspoons of pesto and garnish with edamame.
