30 minutes on 150 fan forced seems to work for me. Added raspberries to one side and choc chops to the other! And reduced the sugar to 200gm as many others have. Just tried and it is more cake like?? What did I do wrong? Not enough sugar?

    Ciao, Chopsuey!

This was delicious! I only used 100g of sugar and was sweet enough! I only cooked for 30mins in fan forced oven at 160 degrees. I used a rectangle pan which was slightly bigger and spread mixture a little thinner which may have been the reason it cooked so quick.

My husband is obsessed with these. I cut them into small squares and froze them in lots of 4. Wrapped in foil and cling wrap. He said they're even better after frozen.
(Ps I'm allergic so can't eat them).

Delicious. I doubled the recipe and cooked it in two separate tins. One with raspberries scattered through and the other plain. I also used less sugar- I used 400gr with the doubled recipe. I cooked it for 30mins next time may do 25mins.

    Submitted by Frangipani67 on 29. January 2016 - 11:57.

The picture doesn't do it justice.  Straight forward ingredients.  Lovely and moist.  My go-to brownie recipe from now on.   I have also made it with less sugar 200g but the texture becames more cakier. If cutting back on sugar to 200g and you want a more gooey texture, cut baking time to 30mins.

    Submitted by linz v on 7. December 2015 - 14:18.

Made a double batch of these beauties yesterday and they are delicious. I did have to cook for an hour at 160 fan forced, because it seemed a bit too gooey in the middle. In the end a beautiful crust with a soft chewy centre.... Perfect Brownie! Thanks for the recipe

Really easy recipe. I only added 200g of sugar though which was plenty and cooked for 25 mins on 160 degrees in a fan forced oven, which was too long as it came out very dry. I'll try 20 minutes next time and add some raspberries for something different.

Great recipe! Easy! I put these in for 30 minutes, and next time I'd probably drop that down by a few minutes to get a bit more gooeyness! Also only did the 170gms of sugar, and upped the choc to 150gms, and they were easily sweet enough.

    Submitted by maplegoh on 6. June 2015 - 22:36.

These were the most successful brownies I've ever made! I reduced the sugar to 130g, and it was perhaps not as sweet as I would've liked it, but I felt too guilty eating 350g worth of sugar :P

Baked for 30 minutes instead of the suggested time, and it turned out crunchy on top and moist on the inside, so was just perfect tmrc_emoticons.)

Next time, will perhaps add more chocolate to it to make it a bit richer! tmrc_emoticons.)
