For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Insert butterfly whisk. Whisk egg whites until soft peaks form.
40sec/speed 4 - Remove butterfly whisk. Beat egg yolks, sugar
10sec/speed 3 - Add water, vanilla essence and butter
10sec/speed 3 - Add self-raising flour, cornflour and mix until smooth batter.
20sec/speed3 - Fold in whisked egg whites. Allow to stand for 10mins
- Cook in waffle iron until golden brown.

These waffles are certainly nice and crispy, I had to adjust the water from 100grams to 400grams to make it a batter. Was delicious though.
